The boys spotted this fella on our walk back from Cathedral Gorge he had a yellow tip on his tail (that I missed) and a red tongue. He liked having his photo taken as he just sat there for us.
Bungle Bungle camp near Echidna Gorge when we where here nine years ago the camps where quiet close to the gorges but of-course now with so many people visiting they have moved them. Lost of dust eco toilet (don't smell too bad) and water for washing but no swimming here and it was very hot.

Along the way we had a nice overnight "freebie" at Mary Pool there was plenty of water but I liked this shot. Lots of people stop here it is well off the road and near a river across an old bridge.

Mary Pool "local herons" see the reflection?

We called into Fitzroy Crossing and found their local picture theatre Bill wants to go back and see a film and have popcorn. It was just an old shed that they had converted with money that had been collected from returned cans(mostly beer cans) it cleaned the place up and the money has been put to good use. Fitzroy is now a "dry" town if you know what I mean. We also visited the old crossing but I can't find the photos you can just imagine this place under water in the wet at the mighty Fitzroy river floods fairly regularly and it's flood area covers about 30k all around. Down the road a bit we helped out three nurses that work at Fitzroy Crossing and they love the place.

Silly buggers at Giekie Gorge, you ask them for a photo and this is what you get, Marilyn is pretty much the ring leader! After Broome we headed back up the road again heading for Bungle Bungle called into Giekie on the way and did their nice little boat cruise, wonderful very hot though we saw plenty of wild-life and the ranger was very informative. We also bumped into some people that we meet at Middle Lagoon Mick and his wife he's from 4RAR

Can't resist the flowers, Marilyn has taught me well.

Oops mucked up there once you have put them in you can't delete them sooooory!

Friendly local having a nap at Giekie Gorge

Beautiful Giekie Gorge

Along the way, we have had so many beautiful moons this year can't resist trying the get that perfect photo still trying as you can see.
