Otway NP "Maits Rest "a great rain forest walk it was named after on of the first forestry rangers around these parts.
Just like home lovely ferns.

"Peak a boo"!!

Huge trees at Mait's Rest

Otway NP lighthouse area Bill's gone camping note the flag apparently upside down means distress "help"

Otway Point lighthouse one of the few that you could climb right to the top and I did it!! wonders never cease the view was wonderful.
Tramway walk at Lorne lovely wild-flowers.

Looking down on the Great Ocean Rd from Queens Park behind Lorne what a view!! and yes that road was a bit hairy with the big van.

St George's river just out of Lorne

Don't jump Bill!! not sure what he was doing acting the goat as usualy I guess.

The things you see when your walking Queens Park walk at Lorne
Tramway walk at Lorne this is how they use to get the wood out of the bush and down to the pier these things where pulled by horses and you should have seen where they went.

Back at the CP at Lorne we had a visitor he wanted Bill's lunch

Lorne along the river bank

Reflections of Lorne's suspension bridge.

Otway National Park near Lorne this is at Erskine falls.
Erskine falls Otway NP

Love their signs !!

30metre drop of Erskine falls it was so cool down here.

Back in Lorne another day as you can see it's a lot warmer "bathing beauties" no not me!!

Accommodation at Lorne great out-look
Way back after we left Port Fairy we called into Warnambool and this is their War Memorial we didn't stay the weather was awful.

Looking down on the lake at Warnambool we thought winter had come early.

This little fella wanted to share out lunch at Port Campbell on our way down the Great Ocean RD

Safe harbour at Port Campbell "rain coming"

Going crazy I think these photos are at the other end of the Great Ocean Rd the more iconic type areas with London Bridge and the Apostles being the most famous we came through here before Apollo Bay.

This was called the ''Grotto" and we remember another Grotto near Kununnura where we all went swimming (skinny dipping)

Apostle and now there are only eight but as the old ones fall new ones are being made by the strength of the seas around here shame it wasn't a sunnier day the colors where wonderful.

Swing bridge at Lorne
Point Grey at Lorne

I'm a bit mixed up here this is Torquay beach one of them

"Art" walk at Airy apparently the first tourists to GOR came by horse and cart.

Surfs up at Angelsea and all the young ones where out there having a go.

Surfing anyone?? this was at Angelsea another place along the GOR
Also at Angelsea they are very keen on their "art" walks around here.

Airy on the GOR we stopped for morning tea,

Split point light house first opened in 1890 when you see the coast line you can understand why they needed so many lighthouses this one still works all automatic these days.

Lighthouse keepers home now a private home gorgeous views from up here but boy would it get windy.
