Carnavon was our next stop and we stayed at our first "seniors" caravan park what a hoot we don't think of ourselves as seniors but there you go it was very good and as most of the grey nomads have headed for home it was nice and quiet.
This is the one mile jetty at Carnavon initially built to load wool etc as the ships couldn't come in any closer it's currently being restored at $2,500 per pylon ouch!!

Beach near Carnavon very, very hot this day.

Memorial avenue for the lost sailors of the HMAS Sydney we found Bill's second cousins plaque.
This will look much better once the trees grow a little but even so it was pretty impressive

180metre bore originally built to enable sheep and cattle to drink the hot water from the artisan well without getting burnt.

Coffee Pot tram we had a ride it was good fun and the old chap driving it was full of information and was very enthusiastic about all the restorations.
