Further down the Great Ocean Rd we stayed at Apollo Bay lots to see and do. Kite flying at Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay foreshore, sculptures on their art walk they also had a market.

It was a bit overcast and misty but still another pretty place and not only for the beaches though there where plenty of those.

Our next stop was Port Fairy in Victoria on the Great Ocean road another place with lovely old homes.

I just loved this!!!


Old Chimney's in Port Fairy there are so many different ones.



A memorial for sailors, whalers and pioneers in Port Fairy they mostly came by ship to these places in the early 1800's

Bill gave me a flower and we left it at the memorial in Portland



Yellow rock - Portland this is a local icon and people come to paint it in all different lights.




Cape Bridgewater springs walk the coast line around here is so rugged it was a shame that it wasn't sunny but still the views where great.

Cape Nelson also near Portland this is the lighthouse precinct.

Wind Turbines all around Portland it will eventually be Victoria's biggest wind farm.

Customs house at Portland it was built in the 1800 and is still a customs office.

Tram in Portland it runs along the wharf and use to be a cable car.




Portland RSL memorial it was an old water tower and they changed it to a memorial.
Before Portland we came through Nelson which is the first town over the border from SA - Victoria

Along the way love the bush especially the flowering gums around here.


Back at Mt Schank



Nelson a little town right on the river and very near the ocean.
